What's the goal of this site?

How do I contribute to Omnictionary?

You can add to the Omnictionary Wiki-Novel by editing current pages or creating new ones to add to the developing story line. Creating content for terms with red links is a great way to get started.

If you want to learn the basics of wiki formatting--including how to create links and format text--see this article.

Who decides what should stay?

The administrators: John, Hank, and Emily.

What is the Canon?

  • The Canon is made up of the best pages at Omnictionary.
  • Canonized pages are essential elements of the wiki-novel.
  • Canonization is determined by the administrators.

What is the Story About?

Because Omnictionary is a wiki-novel, the story is always developing. But here are a few pages you can visit for starters:
Margo Roth Spiegelman
William S. Wright
Jefferson Park

What are some things that are considered "impolite"?

  • Editing someone else's contribution to change the tone of voice (e.g. serious to silly, dry wit to melancholy, etc.)
  • Interjecting non-story related material.
  • Making an unproductive or offensive addition or modification to a page.
